WELCOME TO BEAL'S SPIEL
Is Settling for Less Ever Best?
MY BACKGROUND
Several years ago, I was faced with the dilemma of a broken escalator. I yelled out, "settle for less," as I ran up the stairs. While settling for less seems counterintuitive, it can actually be better for you.
How? In this example, running, even walking up the stairs, is better for your health than taking an escalator.
We've been conditioned to believe that more is better, that everything should be automated, and that things should be easy. But are we happier and healthier?

Maybe the minimalists were on to something when they said, "Less is more." I'm Wyatt Beal, and I hope you explore with me how learning to know when to "settle for less" is really what's best for us and the environment.
